Mixed Media!

Ja, ik kan er niets aan doen, die oude speelgoeddozen vind ikzelf zo leuk om te hebben. En leeg zijn ze zo saai dus ik decoreer ze met mijn restjes scrappapier en bestempel en decoreer het geheel!

I love to decorate old boxes from games or choclate. Empty is so boring, so I just need some scraps and rubber!

Je ziet hier ook verschillende techniekjes, 

de achtergrond gekleurd met de dylusionsinkt en daar ook weer op gestempeld.

I use different techniques, color backgrouns with dylusions and use stamps.

En ik doodle ook graag op mijn werkjes, zo geef je er toch je eigen stempeltje aan.

I like to doodle my work and give it a special personal tough!


Deze dominosteen is bestempeld met alcoholinkt en stazon inkt.Blijft leuk, ook voor een ketting of zo.Neem stukjes gestanst metaal en emboss deze!

Nou ik hoop dat jullie weer een beetje inspiratie uit deze blog kunnen halen.

Mosaic

Als creative duizendpoot moest ik ook een keer mozaieken!
En het is zo leuk om te doen. Op zoek naar oude borden en tegeltjes, kun je zo aan de slag!

I just needed another hobby, LOL, so I tryed mosaics this time.
Love it watching for old dishes and tiles.


Veel soorten keramiek zijn mozaiekbestendig merkte ik al.
En met een spiegeltje of bamboebord  van ikea kun je zo aan de slag.

So I went shopping at Ikea, for bamboo scales and mirrors.

Als trotse Nederlander, dat heb ik op bepaalde momenten,ha,ha, zat ik al met mijn hoofd bij 30 april toen ik deze leuke blauw/witte borden vond. In de doek wikkelen en stuk slaan met de hamer. En met een mozaiektang zijn die kleinere stukjes ook zo geknipt.Na het voegen heb ik de kroontje betekent met mijn gouden metallic sakurapen, die schrijven erg makkelijk op porselein. Waarom zou je niet eerst je eigen tegel doodlen. Het is erg leuk om te doen en ook heel bijzonder.

 with her son Willen Alexander.

Ook hieronder zie je een leuk schoteltje met gouden randje.

I love the small dish with the golden edge.

Als tip op zoek naar mozaiek kan ik jullie geven. Ga eens bij de (outlet) tegelwinkels kijken. Je betaalt nl al snel teveel voor glasmozaiek.
Vaak hebben mensen nog wel tegeltjes staan in de schuur of garage,
vraag maar eens rond....groetjes Mascha

My hint bye looking for ceramic is watching they outlet tiles stores, also for glasmosaics.
ANd often people do have old tiles in there garage. Just ask around, bye Mascha

Almost spring!

I love spring, I'm thinking of it al winter long, LOL!

Toch heb ik van de week deze leuke glazen stolpjes gemaakt.
Je hebt hiervoor nodig, glazen vaasjes of stolpjes.
 Als je hem op ondersteboven zet heb je het beide. 
Je hebt een whymsicalafbeelding nodig. Materiaal om het nestje mee te maken.
Met de komende paasartikeltjesin de winkel zal dit geen probleem zijn.
 Ook zijn papieren bloemen erg leuk om te gebruiken.

So I made these two glass stolps/ vases(don't know the correct name).

You can put it eather up side down or at the normal base. You need a whymsical girl,

some easter pieces, like eggs and feathers. Also paper flowers will be great to use.

De leuke schoteltjes vind je bij de kringloop evenzo als het glas wat gebruikt is.

 These lovely dishes and glass bouth found at the seconhandstore.

Maak eerst het nestje en plak of leg het vast op een gehaakt kleedje, doilie of dergelijke. 

Lijm nu de afbeelding (geprint op dik papier) in het nest.

First gleu your doily or nest onto the bottom. If necessary. Than gleu the print onto the nest 

and start decorating the nest with eggs, flowers, feathers etc.

Als laatste kleed je het nestje af met eitjes, bloemetjes en wat jezelf nog meer leuk vind.

Je ziet wel hoe boller het glas hoe lastiger het op de foto gaat.

Crochet dollies!

Gek op gehaakte kleedjes, ja ik in ieder geval! Eigenlijk haal ik ze altijd bij de kringloop. Hergebruik vind ik ok, ik kan ze wel zelf maken maar dat kost een berg tijd en zo goedkoop gaat me dat niet lukken.
Maar wat kun je er allemaal mee maken, heel veel leuke dingen.

I love crochet doillies. I gott hese pieces at the second hand store. 

And this is also because I don't have the time to make them myself 

and they are very cheap.

Deze keer heb ik er wat flessen mee aangekleed. Naast de gehaakte kleedjes heb je nodig, leuke glazen potten en of flessen. Spuitlijm. Witte gesso. 

This time I decorated some  bottles and jars  with them.
Beside the crochet pieces I use spray gleu  and gesso.

Je maakt het glas goed vetvrij.
Leg het kleedje op een krant en spuit de lijm erop, deze laat je even intrekken, 10 minuutjes ofzo.

Clean your glass and make it fatfree.

 Put the doily on an old paper. Spray the gleu on the doily. Let rest for 10 minutes.


Rol de pot of fles over je kleedje en hij blijft meteen goed vastzitten.
Heb je een fles die niet recht is plak dan het kleedje er zelf op, stevig aandrukken.
Roll your bottle or jar over the doily. Isn't your bottle in another hape then psuh it onto the glass.


Wil je een witte fles verf hem dan op met gesso. 

Als je een sponsje gebruikt krijg je geen vegen op de fles.

You can paint your bottle if you like. Use gesso to make it white.

 Use a sponge to cover the whole piece.

Sjieke brocante flesjes, ook erg mooi op mijn nieuwe dienblad. Er zat zelfs een klein laatje onder.

 Leuk en gemakkelijk te maken, ook voor weg te geven.

So you got some brocant bottles. The look lovely on my new tray.

 Which I found also in the second hand store.

It even got a little drawer at the inside off the tray.

En mocht je niet van wit houden, gesso is zo op te verfen!

And don't you like the white, this is a nice base to work on in any color you like!

Colorfull stamped cards!

Dit is nu juist wat ik zo leuk vind van stempelen, je maakt eerst

heel veel verschillende achtergronden 

die je dan telkens weer kunt gebruiken voor nieuwe kaarten.

This is what  I like with stamping, you first make a lot of backgrounds, 

which you can use on and on for your new cards.

Vaak is 1 grote stempel al genoeg voor het maken van zo'n mooie kaart.

 Je kleurt deze in met Bruynzeelgelpennen en distressinkt.
Often one big stamp is enough to make such a beautiful card. 

Add some color to them with gelpens from Bruynzeel and some distress inkts.

I used Tim holtz dies.

How to make this background. Take a piece of paper,
use smooth paper. First spray your total paper with a light inktspray.

You can use any spray (angel mist, dylusion etc) you like. Then ad stencils or maybe loose figures.

These are Tim Holtz. Adhere you second colors. Don't spray to cloose.

Take of you stencils, spray with water and let dry. Then make your beautiful cards.

Je maakt de achtergrond als volgt. Spray op een iets glad papier met een lichtte inkt.

Leg de stencils erop, je kunt ook losse figuren gebruiken. 

Spray opnieuw met donkere de donkers kleuren. Spuit niet te dicht op het blad.

Haal je stencils en figuurtjes er vanaf, spuit er water overheen en laat goed drogen.

Hierna kun je beginnen met het je kaarten bestempelen.

My house calender!

2013

I love this calender.

 I never used rubber stamp houses,

 but buld them piece by piece!

 First paint the background with gesso.

 Decorate the background with  distrsssstains.

 You can watch the small pieces on this picture. 

Most pieces are stamped.

 Doodle outlines and figures with a black pen and 

use your white gellypen for details.

Christmas time...

It's the time of the year,

I love to make home deco decorations. This is one of them!

You can buy one very expensive or make one yourself. 

Take 5 branchesand color them white. Push them together and

 add a cord around them. 

Put small hooks in the branches and get decorating.

 

 

 

 And this winterwreath is made so fast out of an old curtain.

You need two things to make this, an old curtain and a styrofoam ring 

I would say around 20 cm round.

 

 Tear the curtain into strokes 4 cm wide, tye them around the styrofoam ring.

Cut off the lenght wenn the stroke is to long.

I added this heart in the middle of the heart. Very easy bye 

using a needle that is pushed into the styrofaom ring.
